It’s perfect for breakfast or adding a kick to any dish. Let’s dive in and make this delicious treat!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 1 pound of thick-cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup ground coffee (your favorite blend)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make

  1. Mix the Cure: In a bowl, combine the ground coffee, brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir well.
  2. Prepare the Bacon: Lay out the bacon strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overlapping.
  3. Apply the Cure: Rub the coffee mixture evenly over each bacon strip. Press it down so it sticks well.
  4. Wrap and Chill: Cover the bacon with plastic wrap or foil. Place it in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days. This helps the flavors infuse into the bacon.
  5. Rinse and Dry: After the curing time, remove the bacon from the fridge. Rinse off the cure under cold water. Pat the bacon dry with paper towels.
  6. Cook the Bacon: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bacon on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until crispy. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
  7. Enjoy: Let the bacon cool slightly before eating. Enjoy it as a snack, or add it to your favorite dishes!

Coffee-cured bacon is a fun twist on a classic. Enjoy your creation and the amazing flavor it brings to your meals!
