NOTE: Feel free to adjust the ingredients and quantities to suit your personal taste.

Ever tried Coffee Panna Cotta? It’s a smooth and creamy Italian dessert with just a touch of coffee.

It’s perfect if you want something fancy but not too hard to make. Plus, it’s super satisfying with that little kick of coffee. Let’s dive in!

Ingredients You’ll Need

Here’s what you need to make this delicious dessert:

  • For the panna cotta:
    • 2 cups of heavy cream
    • 1/4 cup of sugar
    • 2 teaspoons of instant coffee or espresso powder
    • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
    • 1 packet of unflavored gelatin
    • 3 tablespoons of cold water
  • For the coffee syrup:
    • 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee
    • 1/4 cup of sugar

How To Make

1. Prepare the Gelatin

First, grab a small bowl. Pour in the cold water and sprinkle the gelatin over it. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. This step lets the gelatin soften.

2. Heat the Cream Mixture

In a saucepan, pour the heavy cream and add the sugar. Heat it over medium heat. Stir often until the sugar is fully dissolved. It should be warm but not boiling. Now, stir in the instant coffee and vanilla extract.

3. Add the Gelatin

Once your cream mixture is warm, take it off the heat. Add the softened gelatin to the pan. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. This is what will help the panna cotta set nicely.

4. Pour into Molds

Now, pour the mixture into small serving cups or molds. You can use ramekins or even fancy glasses if you have them. Let them cool down a bit, then pop them in the fridge. They need to chill for at least 4 hours, or until they’re set.

5. Make the Coffee Syrup

While the panna cotta is chilling, let’s make the syrup. In a small saucepan, mix the brewed coffee and sugar. Heat it over medium heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. You want it to thicken up a bit. Once done, let it cool.

6. Serve

When the panna cotta is set, take them out of the fridge. If you used molds, you can carefully unmold them onto a plate. Drizzle the coffee syrup on top. It adds a nice coffee kick and makes the dessert look extra special.

And that’s it! Your Coffee Panna Cotta is ready to enjoy. It’s rich, smooth, and has just the right amount of coffee flavor. Perfect for impressing your friends or just treating yourself!
